David Adeleke, globally known as Davido, marks his 32nd birthday today, November 21, with a heart full of gratitude and reflections on his life’s journey.

The celebrated artist, popularly referred to as the Omo Baba Olowo (OBO), took to X (formerly Twitter) to share his thoughts. In his candid post, he expressed thankfulness for life while acknowledging the challenges he’s faced:

“Big 32 soon! Omo, God is good. Happy to be alive! My eyes don see shege! But steady my fans dey shout shekpe!”

Through the highs and lows, Davido’s unwavering connection to his fans has remained a source of strength. Their resounding chants of “shekpe” symbolize the loyalty and love that have sustained him in trying times.

Beyond his music, Davido continues to inspire through acts of kindness. In honour of his birthday, he announced a remarkable N300 million donation to orphanages across Nigeria. This is not the first time the singer-songwriter has used his special day to give back. Back in 2021, he similarly donated N250 million to charity, a testament to his generous heart and commitment to making a difference.
