World war 3: Israel Vs Iran creates panic

The rising tension between Israel and Iran have sparked global concern, raising fears of a potential World War 3. The decades-long rivalry between the two Middle Eastern nations has reached a boiling point.

The 1979 Iranian Revolution marked the beginning of the Israel-Iran conflict. Prior to the revolution, Iran, under the rule of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, had a relatively close relationship with Israel and the Western world. However, with the rise of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini and the establishment of an Islamic Republic, Iran’s stance towards Israel shifted dramatically.

As a result, proxy wars, cyber attacks, and diplomatic confrontations have defined their relationship. Iran has been hostile to Israel since the 1979 Islamic revolution, and their consistent rhetoric has been that they believe Israel is an illegitimate country and should be expelled from the region.

What Iran is trying to achieve is to erode the legitimacy of Israel around the world. And so this has been a long term strategy and one that Iranians believe is working. Iran’s attack last weekend was unprecedented. It was a very sophisticated and massive attack that was intended to overwhelm Israel’s air defenses.

Early on Sunday, the Israeli military issued a map appearing to label nearly all of northern Gaza as an evacuation zone, saying this was in preparation for “a new phase” in the war. That came hours after Israeli warplanes attacked Jabalia, in the northern part of the enclave. The Israeli military said it had surrounded an area where it had identified Hamas fighters and efforts by Hamas to rebuild its operational capabilities.

Israeli airstrikes also hit just south of Beirut overnight, sending an orange fireball and thick black smoke into the sky above the Lebanese capital. The attack came less than an hour after the Israeli military issued new evacuation warnings for parts of the area known as the Dahiya, where Hezbollah holds sway and where heavy bombardment in recent days has already forced many residents to flee. It also ordered the residents of 25 villages in southern Lebanon to evacuate and head north.

The escalating fight has raised fears of all-out war between Israel and Iran, which backs both Hezbollah and Hamas. Israelis may rely on the support of the United States, of regional partners, in some cases, to repel an Iranian attack. The Iranians, however, would almost certainly activate Hezbollah in Lebanon, which has a very significant arsenal, somewhat provided by Iran, of rockets and missiles, many of them precision guided.

As the international community struggles to find a peaceful resolution, one thing is clear: the consequences of inaction would be devastating. A potential World War 3 would have far-reaching and disastrous implications, affecting not only the Middle East but also global economies, international relations, and humanitarian stability.

The world cannot afford another devastating conflict. It is time for collective action, diplomacy, and leadership to prevent the unthinkable.
